Dear Editor, In December 2021, an overweight 40-year-old lady with a body mass index (BMI) of 28 presented with itchy violaceous papules and polygonal plaques on her wrist and ankles (Figure 1), typical of lichen planus (LP). She had a similar eruption in 2003 with a biopsy confirming LP which completely responded to clobetasol proprionate 0.05% ointment three times a week and narrowband-ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) twice a week for 3 months.
