Nine people on board a US Navy P-8A plane swam to safety on Monday after their plane overshot the runway on landing in Hawaii, and crashed into the sea. Honolulu first responders rushed to the scene, but there were no reports of any injuries. Gunnery Sgt. Orlando Perez said the plane was a Poseidon, a reconnaissance plane used in intelligence gathering. It was pictured floating in in Kaneohe Bay, off Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Its fuselage appeared intact, suggesting a low-speed crash into the sea.
