What was your first job as a journalist?

Wingspan, the student newspaper at Harry F. Byrd Middle School in Henrico County.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Absolutely yes.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

It means being an honest and energetic broker of information.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Don't pitch me unless it's really amazing because I'm freelance.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Voddio on iPhone. TextEdit on MacBook Pro. Nikon camera occasionally.
