The tokenised asset market has reached $31 billion on the back of Treasuries and money market funds. That was the easy part. Private markets will be the real test of the technology. The tokenisation of real-world assets has grown fivefold between early 2025 and mid-2026, from roughly $5.8 billion to more than $31 billion, according to RWA.xyz. Most of that growth sits in the tokenisation of US Treasuries and money market funds. BlackRock's BUIDL fund, at around $2.5 billion, is the most well-known.
