Abstract Background and aims Perianal fistulas are common in patients with Crohn´s disease (CD). Injections of cultured autologous and allogeneic adipose tissue-derived stem cells have been shown to heal CD-associated fistulas. Unfortunately, this treatment is time-consuming and expensive.
