WHAT TO KNOW Light showers clear out and fog develops overnight. Expect some fog to linger into early morning hours before sunny skies return. Mother's Day isn't a complete washout out as it begins dry. Sunday will feature fog sunshine followed by rain and warmer temperatures in the upper 70s. Clouds and showers enter the state around 3 p.m. An isolated rumble is possible into the dinner time. Rain chances diminish as the late night approaches.

July 24, 2024 drought details and comparison for New Jersey, New York

The drought season has made a strong reappearance around the tri-state region, with abnormally dry conditions presently in the Lower Hudson Valley, Westchester, New York City, Long Island and New Jersey with a heightened moderate drought condition across New Jersey. Currently, we find our drought monitor map highlighted in yellow and light brown, indicating abnormally dry and moderate drought conditions respectively.
