SHIMLA| 31 July 2025 – The monsoon season has inflicted heavy damage across Himachal Pradesh, with 170 reported deaths, 278 injuries, and financial losses exceeding ₹1,59,981 lakh. According to the latest cumulative report released by the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC), widespread damage has occurred between June 20 and July 30, impacting lives, homes, livestock, crops, and public infrastructure.

SHIMLA| 31 July 2025 – The Himachal Pradesh State Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, today approved significant amendments to the Compassionate Employment Policy, alongside measures to expand nursing education, promote gender equality in workplaces, and advance infrastructure development. The revised Compassionate Employment Policy increases the annual family income eligibility limit from ₹2.50 lakh to ₹3 lakh.
