Player of the Week Kenadie Piña, Antonian: senior, libero - Piña recorded 44 digs in a four-set victory against Harlan, one of the area's top attacking teams, as Antonian improved to 29-2. She also had 13 digs in a sweep against Laredo Alexander. Stockdale star LeAnn Wise earns All-America honors, reclassifies joins Longhorns
Former Stockdale standout and 2024 Express-News Player of the Year LeAnn Wise was selected to the American Volleyball Coaches Association Junior Beach All-America first team this week. Wise, who was on target to be a senior at Stockdale this season, graduated high school early and is a freshman member of the Texas beach volleyball team. She signed with the Longhorns in July.

Although the Friday night lights went out on them at Heroes Stadium on Friday, Johnson and Judson plan to use the quarter and half they managed to play to good use. That's all they can do after their season opener was canceled when a storm rolled through in the middle of the second quarter. It began with a lightning delay at 8:10 p.m., followed by strong winds and pouring rain before the electricity went out about an hour later. The lights were still out at 9:30 p.m. when the game was called.
