1 Introduction Fluid overload-associated B-cell lymphoma (FO-LBCL) is a very rare B-cell neoplasm, with < 100 reported cases, presenting as serous effusions without detectable tumor masses and Kaposi sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV)/human herpesvirus 8 (HHV8) infection [1]. Lymphomas mainly involving the body cavity include primary effusion lymphoma (PEL) [2] and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma associated with chronic inflammation (CI-DLBCL) [3].
