Efficacy & safety of stem cell therapy for treatment of acute myocardial infarction: A systematic review & meta-analysis

This systematic review and meta-analysis (SRMA) evaluated the efficacy and safety of stem cell therapy in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Based on the findings from 48 eligible studies, stem cell treatment did not demonstrate a significant improvement over standard care in major clinical outcomes, including all-cause mortality, serious adverse events (SAEs), recurrent myocardial infarction, hospitalisations due to heart failure, stroke incidence, or cancer occurrence.
