1. Introduction Sepsis-associated acute kidney injury (S-AKI), one of the most prevalent causes of AKI, ranks first among patients with AKI in the intensive care unit [1]. It has been reported that more than 60% of patients with septic shock can develop early AKI, indicating that AKI is a common disorder in sepsis [2]. S-AKI is frequently linked to higher in-hospital mortality, increased hospitalization duration, renal failure, and the development of chronic kidney disease (CKD) [1,2,3].
