The Nissan Tekton, set to launch on 9 July 2026 as a sister model to the new Renault Duster, will not be offered with the latter’s upcoming strong-hybrid powertrain. Sources indicate that Renault will keep the 1.8-litre hybrid system exclusive, positioning it as a key competitive advantage in the increasingly crowded midsize SUV space. Instead, the Tekton will be limited to the familiar 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engines.
