Discussion NK cells are becoming attractive therapeutic tools for cancer treatment, either by the recruitment of patient’s own NK cells through NK cell engagers via CD16a, NKG2D or NKp46,31 32 or by adoptively transferring autologous or donor-sourced genetically modified CAR-NK cells.33 34 NK cell engagers display efficiency but entirely rely on patients’ NK cells and their level of expression for these receptors.
