Hydatid cyst is a benign parasitic disease that is usually asymptomatic and is discovered incidentally. The gold standard for the treatment of this disease is surgery. Recently, a laparoscopic approach has been used to remove hydatid cysts. We decided to compare this new technique with an open conventional method. Patients—This retrospective analytical study was conducted on patients with hepatic hydatid cysts who underwent surgery in Kashan during 2013–2020.
