Embryo metabolite analysis and implantation potential prediction using chemiluminescent microfluidic chips with dielectric wetting valves - Nature Communications
Abstract Analysis of embryo metabolites offers a promising non-invasive strategy for assessing preimplantation developmental potential, yet the limited performance of current sensing platforms restricts physiological insights. Here we report a capillary-driven chemiluminescence microfluidic device equipped with three electrowetting valves, enabling simultaneous, offline quantification of glucose, lactate and pyruvate from as little as 3 μL of spent blastocyst culture medium (SBCM).
Frontiers | Lactate and procalcitonin combined with qSOFA score for the evaluation of disease severity and prognosis in ICU patients with sepsis: a retrospective study
ORIGINAL RESEARCH article Volume 12 - 2025 | https://doi.org/10.3389/fmed.2025.1722546 1 Introduction Sepsis remains a major challenge in critical care, frequently leading to multiple organ dysfunction and high mortality. Global epidemiological data indicate a continuing rise in deaths due to severe infections and septic shock among hospitalized patients (1).
Advancements in Synthetic Jet for Flow Control and Heat Transfer: A Comprehensive Review
Submitted: 02 December 2025 You are already at the latest version Synthetic jets, generated through the periodic suction and ejection of fluid without net mass addition, offer distinct benefits, such as compactness, ease of integration, and independence from external fluid sources. These characteristics make them well-suited for flow control and convective heat transfer applications.
