Waterville Mayor Timothy Pedro confirmed Monday night that the supermarket chain is actively moving forward with plans to build a new supercenter in the 800 block of South Pray Boulevard, across from Kroger. TOLEDO, Ohio — Dozens of walkers braved the damp and drizzly weather on Sunday to honor a 13-year-old girl who tragically lost her life about two weeks ago. The community is still in mourning for Kei'Mani Latigue, whose body was found in an abandoned east Toledo home on March 24 and whose father remains in custody for her murder. On Saturday, her story brought a group that advocates for children from South Carolina to Toledo to host a walk in her memory.

ROSSFORD, Ohio — The Rossford Fire and Rescue Department has a new fire chief. Richard Syroka was unanimously appointed to the position by Rossford City Council at Monday night's meeting. The decision comes after city council postponed appointment of the mayor's initial recommendation for the position, Zachary Bingham, at its previous meeting. WTOL reached out to Bingham tonight, but he declined to comment.
