Cluster-set rest vs. traditional during repeated sprint training: effects on creatine phosphokinase activity, sprint abilities and 100-m sprint performance
The present study investigated the comparative effects of CSR versus traditional rest interval during an eight-week repeated sprint training program on key physiological and performance metrics, including anaerobic enzyme activity, sprint performance, and 100-m sprint outcomes. The findings demonstrated significant interaction effects favoring the CSR, particularly in terms of enhanced enzymatic activity, improved selected sprint interval performance, and superior repeated sprint ability.
