Multiple drug overdoses in Cumberland County could be connected to 65 tainted fentanyl incidents in Moncton

There is a good chance that a significant number of reported drug overdoses due to drug toxicity in Cumberland County on the weekend are connected to a large number of incidents in the Moncton area at the same time. In and around Moncton, there were 65 reported cases between noon on Friday and noon on Monday. Officials there said that the cause may have been a veterinary tranquillizer in the local unregulated drug supply.
