Participants An a priori power analysis (G*Power 3.1) was performed for the primary repeated-measures ANOVA comparing the post-session 1RM across the three experimental protocols. Assuming a medium effect size (f = 0.30), an alpha level of 0.05, a statistical power of 90%, three repeated measurements, a correlation of 0.60 among repeated measures, and a nonsphericity correction (ε) of 1, the minimum required sample size was estimated at 21 participants.
