A Crash Near Idaho City Injures Two People and Endangers an Infant

Two people were injured after a crash. It happened yesterday around 3:15 p.m. on south highway 21 at milepost 19 just south of Idaho City. A driver from Boise, with a woman passenger and an infant passenger from Caldwell, were driving south-bound in a Ford F-150 when the vehicle went off the road. Both the driver and passenger were not wearing seatbelts; they were taken to a local hospital. The infant in the vehicle was secured in a child seat and did not receive any injuries.

Heroic Pug To Be Honored By Idaho Town For Alerting Homeowner To Fire " CBS Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A heroic 11-year-old pug named Jaxson will be honored Tuesday by the city of Meridian, Idaho for alerting his owner to an electrical fire that was about to break out in their house. On the night of Aug. 29, Jaxson began barking in an “irregular tone and cadence,” CBS Boise affiliate KBOI reported. The barking prompted Jaxson’s owner, Todd Lavoie, to walk downstairs, where he found sparks coming from an electrical outlet and power strip. Those sparks erupted into flames.

Crews attacking wildfire near Idaho City, campers evacuated

IDAHO CITY, Idaho – Fire crews are fighting a central Idaho wildfire eight miles north of Idaho City and campers in the area have been evacuated. Officials say the fire burning in timber and grass on Tuesday is 100 acres in size and that about 50 firefighters are at the scene with more are being called in, including aircraft. Fire spokeswoman Susan Blake said the fire was reported at about 5 p.m. Monday and was 2 acres when the first crews arrived.
