To the Editor, In recent years, the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) has changed considerably, in favour of a chmo-free approach with covalent BTK inhibitors (cBTKis), such as ibrutinib, acalabrutinib and zanubrutinib, that have improved therapeutic results even in patients with an unfavourable risk profile [del(17p), TP53m, unmutated IGHV genes (uIGHV)] [1-4].
