Government resources GBC to acquire Free-to-Air Broadcast rights for 2026 FIFA World Cup

Accra, June 10, GNA – The Government has resourced the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) to acquire the Free-to-Air Broadcast rights for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. A statement issued by Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu said this would ensure widespread availability of viewing opportunities for Ghanaians to follow the exploits of the Black Stars at the tournament. GBC leads a consortium of Ghanaian TV stations that would be showing the matches.

Mahama Secures 1,800 Agricultural Equipment Pact from Belarus

Accra, June 09, GNA – President John Dramani Mahama has secured a supply agreement for 1,840 pieces of agricultural equipment from Belarus as part of efforts to boost agricultural production in Ghana. The President announced this in his address at the maiden Ghana–Belarus Business Forum in Minsk, Belarus.

Mahama returns home from high level visits to UK, Belarus

Accra, June 09, GNA – President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday afternoon returned home from his high level visits to the United Kingdom and the Republic of Belarus. He was met on arrival at the Accra International Airport by Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Chief of Staff at the Presidency Mr Julius Debrah, other ministers of state and senior Government officials. The President paid a five-day high-level working visit to the UK from May 31 to June 3.
