Israel's Health Ministry said Wednesday it will give children the second dose of the combined MMRV vaccine at 18 months instead of age six, in response to an ongoing measles outbreak. The change will apply to children born on or after January 1, 2025. It is intended to strengthen immunity following a series of measles outbreaks in recent years, the latest of which began in April 2025 and has yet to be fully contained.

Israel's Health Ministry has eased licensing requirements for medical imaging technicians who were educated in Palestinian universities in the West Bank, after a report by Haaretz detailed how hundreds of Arab workers were fired, many of them experienced staff. Among other changes, the ministry introduced exemptions for X-ray technicians with prior clinical experience, in an effort to allow hospitals and imaging centers to continue employing at least some of those affected by the reform.

A man who recently entered Israel from the Democratic Republic of the Congo has been hospitalized in isolation with suspected Ebola, the country's Health Ministry said Sunday, marking the second suspected case reported in recent days. Authorities said test results are expected in the coming days and stressed that no confirmed Ebola cases have been identified in the country.
