3. Results 3.1. Change in Layer Depth after Bending The change in the thickness of the welded layer due to bending was analyzed as part of the experiments, too. The measurement was carried out with a light microscope and its evaluation software on macrostructure photographs. The achieved results are shown in Figure 5a. Figure 5b shows the results in polar coordinates, including changes in the total wall thickness of the tube.
