Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) [KWAP], Malaysia’s public pension fund, stated that it is making every effort to recoup its MYR 163.4 million ($39.97 million) investment in Indonesian aquaculture startup eFishery following the company’s involvement in a financial fraud scandal that resulted in the former CEO’s imprisonment. In a statement released last Saturday, the fund acknowledged the worries expressed in response to recent media coverage of its eFishery investment.

A new strategic plan was unveiled on Tuesday by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI) to support the expansion of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and mid-tier companies (MTCs) in key industries by facilitating easier access to capital.

According to a statement from AngelCentral, this investment backs RyboDyn Inc.’s seed round, which was supported by Genedant, SeaX Ventures, SOSV, Swell VC, Massive Tech Ventures, and P2V. With the funds, RyboDyn Inc.
