This week’s playlist is full of summertime songs: flit from the dreamy rap of Atlanta’s man-of-the-moment Lil Yachty to a breezy new cut from baby.daddi (a supergroup featuring Awful Records’ Tommy Genesis, Ye Ali, and Wes Period), then soak up the carnival vibes of Manchester MC Fox’s “Downtown Uptown” before unwinding with “Break”, an ode to slacking off by Anglo-Japanese pop trio Kero Kero Bonito. Listen to the playlist below.

Santa Muerte describe their Dazed Mix as a preview of their new label. “This mix is a lot of the music and the artists we are feeling at the moment,” Santa Muerte explain over email, speaking as a collective rather than individually. “The sound and aesthetic is the framework for what we will bringing with Majía.

Alongside the mix, we caught up with him over WhatsApp too, grabbing an insight into his year so far and who he else he’s looking forward to checking out at Field Day. In his new warm-up mix for Field Day , which takes place in Victoria Park this weekend, he turns the screw right from the off, chopping up exclusives, forthcoming label material and one-off dubs with sniper-like precision, in a 60-minute barrage worthy of whipping any festival crowd into shape.
