Imagined Theaters

We are already gathered in datasets. We don’t know each other (yet), but our images, words, and information are jostling together in mathematical soup around the world. We might be stored next to each other in a folder. Electrons might zap through my face and into yours. We might be touching. I started thinking about the intimacy of datasets during the pandemic. The screen became our primary space of connection. Video and photo apps exploded in popularity.
