Conclusions The authors believe that the methodology used, specifically the use of globally-available variables like Niño SST indices and air pressure with NARX, is scalable and can be applied to other areas or regions with similar climatic conditions but with sparse or unreliable climatological data. Thus, the proposed methodology ensures that even in data-deficient regions, accurate and reliable evapotranspiration predictions can be made.
