Retrieve Specific User Information from SAP SuccessFactors Using SAP Cloud Integration (OData V2)
Introduction In many SAP integration scenarios, we need to retrieve information about a specific employee or user from SAP SuccessFactors instead of fetching the entire user dataset. For example, an external application may send a user ID to SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), and the integration flow must retrieve the corresponding user's details, such as their username, first name, last name, and email address, from SAP SuccessFactors.
Beat the Single Exclusive Queue Bottleneck
Every integration developer meets this wall sooner or later:"these messages must be processed in order."The easy fix — a singleexclusivequeue: one consumer, one message at a time — works perfectly and scales terribly. The moment volume rises, that single ordered lane becomes the bottleneck everything queues behind. Sound familiar? How many times have you "solved" ordering by throttling everything down to one-at-a-time, then watched the backlog grow?
Laptop Health Monitoring System
What is the Problem? In most companies, employee laptops keep generating signals like high CPU temperature, battery drain, or device issues. But the problem is, no one is really tracking all this data properly in real time. Because of that, issues are usually noticed only when something goes wrong and the user raises a complaint. What Are We Building? To solve this, we are creating a system that automatically monitors device health data.
Beyond Basic AI Error Handling in SAP CPI - A Rules-First Architecture with HANA Cloud Learning
The Problem Every Integration Developer Knows Every SAP CPI developer has lived this scenario. An iFlow fails in production at an inconvenient hour. You open the MPL log, stare at a cryptic stack trace, and spend the next 30–45 minutes manually cross-referencing adapter configurations, checking credentials, and testing payloads. By the time you identify the root cause a null field in a mapping, an expired OAuth token, a malformed XML payload the fix takes five minutes. The diagnosis took an hour.
SAP Cloud Integration (CI/CPI) - Identify & Manage Unused iFlows (integration flows)
Over time, SAP Cloud Integration (CI/CPI) tenants, especially larger ones tend to accumulate integration flows that are no longer needed. These may include old test flows, integration scenarios tied to decommissioned systems, or temporary interfaces created during projects and never removed. Manually identifying such unused integration flows is difficult and time‑consuming. SAP Cloud Integration provides standard APIs that expose deployment status and recent execution history.

SAP Cloud Integration (CI/CPI) Dynamic Custom Headers for Monitoring - Config Driven Approach
“How can we quickly add a new custom header to Message Monitoring without transporting the changes of iFlow?” Maybe you need to filter messages by Delivery Number, Shipping Point, Sales Order, or something else that wasn’t planned during development. With the standard approach, you have to modify the iFlow, add a custom header property, transport the change through the landscape, and redeploy. This takes time and coordination.
Convert Excel file to CSV in SAP Cloud Integration without External Libraries or JARs [Apache POI]
In many SAP Integration Suite (CPI) scenarios, we receive Excel files from SFTP or other channels and need to process them further — often by converting them into CSV. However, SAP CPI does not support Apache POI out of the box, and adding external libraries is not always feasible. so, there's a way out, writing my first blog hope i didn't make much mistakes.

Special character in XML processed by CPI
In most of the CPI steps, it will convert escaped form into original form automatically. Let's analyse them one by one. This is the source message used. There is an escaped & in the xml making it a valid xml to be processed. <Message> <content>Test special character: &</content> </Message> These below methods will be used to check how the escaped character will be processed by them. This is the value of the property after the step. conclusion: value has been changed.

Handling Free-Form Text in SAP CPI: Segmenting Long Text into 132-Character Chunks with Groovy
In Application-to-Application (A2A) integrations, it’s common to encounter scenarios where the sender system is non-SAP (like Coupa, Salesforce, etc.) and the receiver is an SAP ECC or S/4HANA system. One specific challenge that often arises is handling free-form text. Non-SAP platforms may allow free-form text of unlimited length. SAP systems, however, have strict character limits—for example, 132 characters per segment in IDocs or BAPI text fields.

Improving SAP Integration Suite with a sorting mechanism for DataStore entries
Introduction Few days ago came to me a requirement to reprocess a number of entries from aDataStore. I said no problem, we could do this in two ways : Using theSelect operator or using theSAP Integration Suite'sDataStores API. Soon, I realized that none of these 2 options would do the job. Option 1would always extract the last entry created. In my case, the entry was getting deleted after the Select step, but after that put back into the DataStore because the process was failing.
AI-Driven Error Handling in SAP CPI: Automating Troubleshooting with OpenAI
The Problem: Manual Error Handling is a Pain If you've worked with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) for long enough, you know that errors are inevitable. Whether it's a failed connection, a mapping issue, or an authentication error, troubleshooting these issues can be tedious and time-consuming. Traditionally, error handling in SAP CPI follows a reactive approach: Retry mechanisms attempt to process failed messages again. Logging and tracing help developers analyze failures manually.

Content-Based or Non-Key Lookup in SAP Cloud Integration (SCI/CPI): Lookups Without Fixed Keys
Content-Based Lookup in SAP CPI Without Key-Value Pairs In most SAP CPI integrations, we rely on key-based lookups using maps or content enrichers. However, there are scenarios where a key-value pair lookup is not feasible. For instance, if the key involves an integer or double data type with a vast range, creating a mapping for every possible key-value pair becomes impractical. In such cases, we can use content-based search or iterative search to find the relevant matches dynamically.

XML to CSV conversion in integration
In SAP Process Orchestration, 'content conversion' processes XML level 3 elements into CSV format. Note, the fieldNames do not influence the output CSV. Conversely, in SAP Cloud Integration, the 'CSV to XML converter' generates CSV using the element names from the first record of the input XML. If a new element appears in subsequent records, it will be appended at the end of the line. This difference in behavior can create challenges in migration projects.
