My first job as a reporter was to file a weather story.

Yes, I have when I was in school. We used to write leave applications on the typewriter.

In so many ways -- from gathering of facts to processing of information to production of final products. It is a mammoth convergence tool.

For me, being a journalist means telling stories that would otherwise find no form and effecting change

No, I never worked for my high school newspaper because it didn't have one. However, I was chief reporter at my university newspaper.
