Acura NSX Roadster from 2012’s The Avengers goes up for auction – hand-crafted body over a first-gen NSX
The year was 2012. Marvel’s The Avengers was celebrating its premiere at the El Capitan Theatre on April 11, with actor Robert Downey Jr., who plays Tony Stark/Iron Man, arriving on the red carpet in a unique car that wasn’t an Audi. That car is a one-of-a-kind Acura NSX Roadster, which is now officially up for auction on Cars & Bids and will make a public appearance at the Las Vegas Concours on October 31 where the winning bidder will be revealed after the online auction concludes on November 1.
Acura to launch adventure-ready and eight-seat SUVs as part of new roadmap – fourth-gen RDX due in 2028
Acura, which is luxury arm of Honda, has revealed a new roadmap for the brand’s future in North America that will see no less than three SUVs being launched in the coming years. These will include products in segments where the brand does not currently compete in as the company aims to attract a wider audience. First up is an adventure-ready SUV that will arrive in the first part of 2028 and aimed at outdoorsy customers.
Honda Heritage Parts launched in US through Acura – reproduction and redeveloped parts for first-gen NSX
Following its introduction in Japan in December last year, Honda Heritage Works is now making its to the United States through Acura. The luxury arm of Honda recently announced that its US dealers will soon sell parts for the first-generation NSX beginning this summer. This will be done through the Honda Heritage Parts programme, which is one side of the Honda Heritage Works business.
Honda to sell US-built Acura Integra Type S, Honda Passport TrailSport Elite in Japan later this year
Honda has announced its plans to begin selling the Acura Integra Type S and the Honda Passport TrailSport Elite in Japan in the second half of this year, through a simplified certification system for passenger vehicles built in the United States by the Japanese ministry of land, infrastructure, transport and tourism (MLIT). This is to enable the reverse-import of the US-built models in order to “accommodate the diverse needs of customers in Japan,” according to the statement by Honda.

You might remember the Acura RSX to be the new name of the Integra in the United States when the fourth-generation model rolled around in the early 2000s. The coupe was sold for a few years before eventually being discontinued in 2006 and the nameplate was retired. Now, Acura has brought back the RSX, but it isn’t what you expect. Like the Mitsubishi Eclipse that was resurrected into an SUV, the all-new RSX returns as a high-riding model that is expected to arrive in the second half of 2026.

I closed on my new house today. All went pretty smoothly. Only 20 miles from my current house, but bigger, one story, much more storage and garage space, almost 2 acres. I’ll be busy the next month or so moving in and then putting my current house up for sale. Icky weather today though. 34 and sleet.
