Open The Floodgates
Water has always had a way of showing up in my songwriting. So much so that people started to ask me what it meant. I didn’t feel like I knew how to speak on that until the French Broad River raged through the windows and doors of my home in Marshall, North Carolina, and crawled 12 feet up its walls, drowning all the items I had collected throughout my life and leaving them covered in a thick, smelly, toxic muck. Water was there with me in my mother’s womb. It sculpted my muscles and bones.
Kasher slasher; Indigo De Souza out at Saddle Creek? new Anna McClellan; WHY? tonight… - Lazy-i
by Tim McMahan,Lazy-i.com A few notes to pass along from the in-box (and other places)… . 0 0 0 . In addition to releasing a new album with his band Cursive, Tim Kasher has a new feature-length horror film about to make the festival rounds called Who’s Watching. “Who’s Watching is a story I first conceived way back in 2010, as I had yet to see a movie approach the stalker trope from this particular angle,” Kasher said in an article in horror film blog Bloody Disgusting.

This is the third time I’ve made this point – Grrrl Camp is not a girls-only event. But it doesn’t matter how many times I say it, there’s going to be dudes who won’t attend because they think they’re not welcome.

I was probably about twenty-two. I was taking my friend to the hospital, and we had a while to drive.
Best Released & Upcoming Albums of 2023
2023 has already been a great year for music. In honor of reaching the year’s halfway mark, I’ve compiled five of my favorite albums released so far in 2023 (in no particular order), as well as five albums I’m looking forward to spinning later this year. 2023 Gems Frost Children – “SPEED RUN” This album is fantastic and I am thrilled about the resurgence of techno and synth-pop we’ve been seeing lately.
Musician Indigo de Souza on embodying your truth - The Creative Independent
“I was finally able to trust myself fully,” says Indigo De Souza of making her third album All of This Will End. When the North Carolina-based artist released her compelling, explosive second LP in 2021, it led to a successful year of sold out tours and rave reviews from outlets like , the , and the . Across 11 songs, the LP is a raw, radically optimistic work that grapples with mortality, the rejuvenation that community brings, and the importance of centering yourself now.

New music: Specter Poetics, Pile, M83, Shiner, Black Belt Eagle Scout, Shalom, Rural Alberta Advantage, Indigo De Souza… by Tim McMahan, Lazy-i.com So, another showless weekend. The good news is there’s a lot going on next weekend. Until then, here’s a batch of new music that caught my attention to enjoy and ponder. Specter Poetics is the electronic project of Jack McLaughlin. He released a new track last Wednesday, produced by engineering mastermind Ian Aeillo.

There is scuttlebutt, rumor and legend that Maha begat Outlandia.
