After talking to my daughter about traveling, I was surprised to realize that if kids wrote travel tips, guides or reviews there would be no beating around the bush. Travel to her is very straightforward. While on this blog she needs no special introduction, she will get a short one nonetheless. Before learning how to read and write, she had already visited three continents, crossed the Equator and swam in more than five different seas.

Ah, Cafetino. It's not very large and it's actually easy to miss, because there's no shop's name outside. But once you find it, feel free to curl up with a nice cup of frothy latte. It's so mild and milky you could bathe in it, if they had a cup big enough. Have a delicious brownie too while you’re at it. Also, Turkish coffee, which is very popular among Slovenians is veeery good here. So much better than the one I make at home. Quite a new place, located inside the City Museum.

There are playgrounds, the zoo, museums, royal palaces, plazas, markets, churro and jamon. Madrid with kids offers plenty of things to see and do. My list for our two days was again too long. In the end we skipped a lot, but what we did experience makes us convinced that Madrid is a great family destination. We started exploring Madrid with a visit to the city center. I still remembered bits and pieces from when I visited it with my parents and my kids were equally impressed.
