1. Introduction The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is responsible for about 30% of cancers related to infectious agents (Bravo et al., 2010). It belongs to the Papillomaviridae family and infects epithelial cells of the skin and oral and genital mucosa. More than 280 types of HPV have been described, with approximately 200 capable of infecting humans, of which 12–16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, and 59 are responsible for malignant neoplasias [1].
