Ein 51-jähriger Patient stellte sich mit Fieber, Dyspnoe und begleitenden Oberbauchschmerzen vor. Neben hämodynamischer Instabilität lagen ein generalisierter Ikterus, eine Hepatosplenomegalie, ein morbilliformes Exanthem mit Petechien sowie eine beidseitige Konjunktivitis vor. Neben deutlich erhöhten Entzündungsparametern fanden sich eine Panzytopenie und eine Hyperbilirubinämie. Ferner waren Triglyzeride, Ferritin und der lösliche IL-2-Rezeptor erhöht.
