LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Bridle Up Hope Las Cruces is inviting the community to run or walk for a cause during its Gallop for Hope 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run Fundraiser. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 5, at 8 a.m. at the La Llorona Multi-Use Path Trailhead in Las Cruces. Participants of all ages and abilities can take part in either the 5K or 1-mile fun run.

EL PASO, Texas — Two newly crowned titleholders are representing the Sun City and preparing for the next stage of competition. Lauren Hernandez, Miss El Paso USA, and Victoria Benitez, Miss El Paso Teen USA, joined ABC-7 at Noon to talk about their recent wins, upcoming competition and what they hope to accomplish during their reigns. The titleholders described the experience of winning as surreal after the work that went into preparing for the pageant.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — Gracey’s Rescue Ranch is inviting the community to meet its animals while helping support their care during a fundraiser and open house Saturday, Aug. 29. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 6400 Charolais Drive in El Paso. According to the ranch, it has opened its doors to more than 250 animals in need over the past two years, including more than 100 animals rescued in the last month. More than 140 animals currently live at the ranch.
