Scaling up spatial transcriptomics for large-sized tissues: uncovering cellular-level tissue architecture beyond conventional platforms with iSCALE - Nature Methods
Abstract Recent advances in spatial transcriptomics (ST) technologies have transformed our ability to profile gene expression while preserving crucial spatial context within tissues. However, existing ST platforms are constrained by high costs, long turnaround times, low resolution, limited gene coverage and inherently small tissue capture areas, which hinder their broad applications.
Transmembrane Serine Protease TMPRSS11B promotes an acidified tumor microenvironment and immune suppression in lung squamous cell carcinoma
Abstract Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Existing therapeutic options have limited efficacy, particularly for lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), underscoring the critical need for the identification of new therapeutic targets. We previously demonstrated that the Transmembrane Serine Protease TMPRSS11B promotes transformation of human bronchial epithelial cells and enhances lactate export from LUSC cells.
Author Correction: Resolving tissue complexity by multimodal spatial omics modeling with MISO - Nature Methods
Correction to: Nature Methods https://doi.org/10.1038/s41592-024-02574-2, published online 15 January 2025. In the version of the article initially published, in the “ICC” section of the Methods, the numerator in the definition of ICC was σi2 but should have been σm2. The definition of ICC has been corrected to $${{\rm{ICC}}}_{{\rm{i}}}^{({\rm{k}})}=\frac{{\sigma }_{m}^{2}}{{\sigma }_{i}^{2}+{\sigma }_{m}^{2}}$$ in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
