Saline County authorities are looking for a missing 50-year-old man. Sheriff’s Captain Jim Hughes tells KSAL News that aerial assets and a bloodhound were used yesterday in a search at a property located east of Salina in the 200 block of S. Brenda Lane Tuesday. Family members told investigators that Tobin Sawyers was operating a riding mower around 1:15pm when his children last had contact with him. Around 4:30pm, a 14-year-old and 16-year-old began looking for their dad.

Previously Loved Thrift Store Shutting Down

Epilepsy Newfoundland and Labrador says it will close its St. John’s thrift store, Previously Loved Clothes and Things, next week. The store has operated since 1998 as a key fundraising arm for the organization. Epilepsy NL says the decision comes after a review of operations, as it shifts to a new fundraising model to support long-term sustainability. The organization says there will be no changes to programs or services, and it will continue operating from its Kenmount Road location.

Woman Charged After Theft from East End Business A woman who left a business in the east end of St. John’s just after somebody had taken merchandise has been arrested. The 29-year-old suspect, who left the business yesterday afternoon just before officers arrived, was located a short distance away. Already with a warrant out for her arrest, she was released on a charge of theft under $5,000.
