Abstract The frustrated magnet Nd2Ir2O7, where strong correlations together with spin-orbit coupling play a crucial role, is predicted to be a Weyl semimetal and to host topological pairs of bulk Dirac-like valleys. Here we use an external magnetic field to manipulate the localized rare-earth 4f moments coupled to the 5d electronic bands.

Phase transition in the cuprates from a magnetic-field-free stiffness meter viewpoint

Abstract A method to measure the superconducting (SC) stiffness tensor \(\bar \rho _{\mathrm{s}}\), without subjecting the sample to external magnetic field, is applied to La1.875Sr0.125CuO4. The method is based on the London equation \({\mathbf{J}} = - {\bar{\mathbf{\rho }}}_{\mathrm{s}}{\mathbf{A}}\), where J is the current density and A is the vector potential which is applied in the SC state.
