By: Claire McKenna Staff-Writer The East Race Waterway concluded its fortieth season on Sept. 1, marking another year of whitewater rafting in South Bend. The waterway, created by the South Bend Parks Department, is the first artificial whitewater course in North America, complete with 2,000 feet of three different water levels and strategically placed obstacles to help turbulence.

I am a junior from Mishawaka, Indiana, and I am an art major minoring in psychology. I hope to pursue a career in art therapy someday. I’ve always loved art. Growing up I spent most of my time playing the flute and drawing. These were my emotional outlets as well, and they heavily influenced the career decisions I made for my life.

By: Rafael Tortolero Multimedia Specialist Delight Ministries, a campus group for Christian women, is having their kickoff today at 5:30 p.m. They will be having a picnic out in Greenlawn, and attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite sundress and bring a blanket to sit on. They are an all-women’s bible study who strive to grow, serve and learn together.
