I have! We were required to learn when I was in high school. I actually love that click-clack sound to this day.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Grow some tough skin; you'll get used to hearing 'no' more than 'yes' especially when you're starting out. Stay organised. Use your manners.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime is fine via email. Send them on!
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That travel writers sit around the pool eating bon-bons when we're sent on a famil. We are on the go-go-go from daybreak to midnight.
