CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS)-- For the fifth time since his memorable run at University of Virginia, Ty Jerome is back in Charlottesville giving back to a community he still considers home. The former UVA guard teamed up once again with DR1VEN Training to host a basketball camp for athletes ages nine to 13, continuing a tradition that has become a staple of his offseason. For Jerome, the camp is about more than basketball. “I love the community so much,” Jerome said.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS)-- Mike Brown’s annual football camp returned to Charlottesville this weekend for its 11th year, but for Brown, the camp has grown into something far bigger than football. Brown, a Monticello High School graduate and current Notre Dame wide receivers coach, spent the day working with campers ages 7 to 13, helping them learn football fundamentals while also emphasizing lessons that extend beyond the field.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS)-- The Charlottesville Tom Sox picked up an 11-9 win over Harrisonburg on Saturday night at CHO Airport Field. The Turks struck first in the top of the second inning when Brody Dalton sent a two-run home run over the wall, bringing Andy Perez home from first to give Harrisonburg an early 2-0 lead. Charlottesville answered in the bottom half of the inning.
