BTCC Croft: Cook fastest in practice from Ingram
Josh Cook topped free practice as the British Touring Car Championship resumed at Croft following its five-week summer break. The red-headed West Countryman appeared to reap the dividend of mid-season development work carried out by the Speedworks Motorsport squad on his LKQ Toyota Corolla GR Sport, although was realistic that free practice is one thing, qualifying and racing quite another.

Antonio Sánchez | LAArtsOnline.com
Do you recall the Academy Award for Best Picture ten years ago? It was Birdman! Very much Alejandro Iñárritu’s brainchild, starring Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, Emma Stone and Naomi Watts. To celebrate the film at the Wallis, 4-time GRAMMY® Award winner and internationally renowned jazz drummer Antonio Sánchez will take to the stage and recreate the score live to picture. What is interesting about this is the nature of the way Sánchez composed the score originally—mostly via improvisation.

Cheers! Oh, and that ominous music that opened with the show… nevermind that. Or the fact that this is billed as one of the most infamous tragedies Verdi ever wrote. This is La Traviata! Diavolo: Existencia
The 1994 Northridge earthquake was cataclysmic. It shook up more than 10 million people locally and exponentially more family and friends across the country. What followed for California State University Northridge is a tale of resilience. Classes were held in outdoor spaces and trailers, and degrees were in fact granted that year. Within a decade the campus was restored, in many cases it was better than its former self.

It quickly changed to the Ike and Tina Turner Revue, which she then left behind for her own well-being, only to go on to win twelve Grammys and selling more concert tickets than any other solo performer in history.
