A Novel Bionic Enhancing Design Strategy for Bending-Dominated Honeycomb Structures
1 Introduction Nature is a vast treasure trove, brimming with boundless wisdom. Humans have drawn numerous ingenious inspirations from it. In the field of materials and structures, people have been inspired by the specific geometric morphologies of various plants and animals in nature to develop a series of new high-performance mechanical materials and structures [1], with the hexagonal honeycomb being the most representative example [2].
Letter: Methodological Caveats in Zhang et al.–Gut Microbiota and Metabolism in Cirrhotic Portal Hypertension
Editors, We read with interest the article by Zhang et al. [1] describing gut microbial and metabolomic alterations in cirrhotic portal hypertension (CPH). While the integrative design is commendable, several methodological concerns limit the strength of the conclusions. First, the cohort was small (35 CPH vs. 71 controls) and aetiology-homogeneous, with all patients from a single hepatitis B–dominant center.
Study on the minimum miscibility pressure and phase behavior of CO2-shale oil in nanopores
In recent years, CO2–enhanced oil recovery (EOR) [1] has achieved widespread application in unconventional reservoirs such as shale oil and gas reservoirs [2], [3], [4]. CO2 injection not only enhances the energy yield in shale reservoirs but also reduces the viscosity of oil [5]. Shale oil reservoirs are characterized by nanopores ranging in size from a few nanometers to hundreds of nanometers [6] and are characterized by complex pore structures and challenging physical conditions [7].
Electrospun nanofiber as building blocks for high-performance air filter: A review
Air pollution driven by high concentration of particulate matter (PM), as one of the most challenging global safety concerns, has posed tremendous burden to public health, the global economy and ecosystems [1], [2], [3]. More than 4 million people suffered from premature mortality every year, resulting from long-term exposure to the polluted air containing particles [4], [5]. To combat this problem, measures of source control and air filtration have been proposed.
GLOBAL CHARACTERIZATION OF MONOCYTE REVEALS A STRESS SIGNATURE INDUCED BY MULTIPLE MYELOMA THROUGH SINGLE‐CELL RNA SEQUENCING
Background: A growing body of evidence has indicated impaired function or compositional changes of monocytes in inflammatory disorders, such as acute respiratory syndrome and covid-19. In myeloma tumor microenvironment, activation of type I interferon pathway and dysregulated expression of major histocompatibility complex type II genes are observed in classical monocytes, which result in loss of antigen presentation of monocytes.
ELUCIDATING THE MOLECULAR MECHANISMS OF CLONAL EVOLUTION IN MULTIPLE MYELOMA THROUGH SINGLE‐CELL RNA SEQUENCING
Background: Myeloma cells respond differently to therapeutic pressure, with sensitive clones being cleared and some more resistant clones being screened as major clones after treatment. This phenomenon of clonal resistance and clonal evolution, in which different clones compete with each other and change before and after treatment, is the underlying cause of the failure of minimal residual disease (MRD) clearance and myeloma recurrence.
Formation of the carbonated hydroxyapatite film on Ti‐30Zr‐5Al‐3V bio‐alloy
Abstract The Ti-30Zr-5Al-3V titanium alloy has an ultra-low Young's modulus. So, it promises great application potential as a hard-tissue implanted biomaterial. However, its surface performances need to be improved before clinical applications. In this work, a carbonated hydroxyapatite film is deposited on the surface of Ti-30Zr-5Al-3V bio-alloy using electrochemical methods.

Influence of Load Mode on Particle Crushing Characteristics of Silica Sand at High Stresses
Downloaded 133 times Technical Papers Abstract A series of high-pressure compression tests with various stress paths under monotonic and cyclic loadings were performed to examine the compression and particle crushing characteristics of silica sand in a dense state. Different stress paths were particularly designated to individually investigate the influences of mean and shear stress on particle crushing.

Arteriovenous fistula (AVF) is the preferred vascular access for patients on hemodialysis; however, AVF primary failure is 50% due to unfavorable venous remodeling and thrombosis.
Abstract No. 655 A novel application of the VIATORR stent graft in the thoracic outlet and central veins to salvage outflow of hemodialysis access

Central venous stenosis is a common complication for dialysis patients. Angioplasty is the most common treatment; however, the benefit is temporary and bare-metal stents have been shown to fracture in this region.
Statin therapy on glycemic control in type 2 diabetic patients: A network meta‐analysis
Statins are the cornerstone of primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and are effective for the prevention of vascular events in diabetic patients. Diabetes mellitus is an important risk factor for CVDs .The majority of patients with diabetes mellitus benefits from statin therapy.

I. Using the Bland-Altman method to measure agreement with repeated measures
Medical researchers often need to compare two methods of measurement, or a new method with an established one, to determine whether these two methods can be used interchangeably or the new method can replace the established one.1–6 In most of these situations, the ‘true’ value of the measured quantity is unknown.
