The story starts with Noemi Taboada, a socialite in 1950s Mexico. Her father has received word from her cousin, Catalina, begging them to rescue her. Catalina claims that she is being poisoned by her husband and is haunted by ghosts. Catalina had recently gotten married to Englishman Virgil Doyle, and they both moved to the countryside in Mexico to live in Virgil’s family home called High Place.

The anime starts like other isekai. Our main character is walking back to class. When he opens the classroom door, he is exposed to a blinding light. When the light subsides, he finds himself in the middle of a field in another world. Before he can adjust to his new surroundings, he is attacked by a horned bunny. However, Hibiki was accidentally able to defeat it by falling on it. After defeating the horned rabbit, Hibiki discovers that he has an appraisal skill.

In Himouto Umaru-chan, we learn that hiding yourself can be used to protect your boundaries.
