LAMAS 4 IC - Laboratory approved metadata acquisition schemas for ion chromatography
Ion chromatography (IC) is an analytical technique used to separate and quantify ions in a solution [[1], [2], [3]]. It relies on the differences in physical and chemical properties of the ions to achieve their separation as they pass through the column. Once separated, the ions are detected and quantified based on their specific retention times and concentrations.

Liver Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy: an Effective and Feasible Alternative to Surgery during the COVID-19 Pandemic
Expand allCollapse all Madam — The COVID-19 pandemic is having an unprecedented impact on UK cancer services. Access to radical surgery has been severely restricted and resources for systemic therapy provision are being limited as the crisis unfolds. Radiotherapy resources are rightly being focused on patients being treated with curative intent. However, it is our experience that access to stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) is diminishing, predominantly due to staffing shortages.

Implementing Head and Neck Contouring Peer Review without Pathway Delay: The On-demand Approach
Although an on-demand peer review approach is utilised in a small number of centres, to our knowledge this is the first report to explore the potential efficiency improvement with this approach [5][5]. In this study, by conducting peer review on-demand, rather than batching cases for weekly peer review, dosimetrists had on average an extra two working days available per case to meet treatment start dates.
