Quantum critical behavior of cuprate superconductors observed by inelastic X-ray scattering
Abstract Progress toward a complete understanding of cuprate superconductors has been hindered by their intricate phase diagram, potentially linked to a quantum critical point (QCP). However, conclusive evidence for the QCP is lacking, as the presumed QCP is buried under the superconducting dome, disguising its presence.
Disclosing the pivotal role of Poly(vinylidene fluoride) omniphobic membrane surface morphology in performance of photothermal vacuum membrane distillation
Water and energy scarcity are two major interrelated global issues with significant impact on sustainable development [1]. The world is facing an increasing population growth and urbanization, leading to a higher demand for water and energy. However, the availability of these resources is limited and unevenly distributed, resulting in water and energy scarcity in many regions [2]. Fresh water production and energy supply are inevitably linked. In other words, the provision of water requires energy.

Growth of ablative Rayleigh-Taylor instability induced by time-varying heat-flux perturbation
As is well known, ablation lowers the linear RTI growth rate by supplying a restoring force when the interface is distorted, and this stabilizing effect is more substantial for short-wavelength modes.

Abstract No. 554 Thorough adrenal vein sampling technique decreases procedural fluoroscopy times: results from a large-volume single-institution experience
Adrenal vein sampling (AVS) is the gold-standard to determine laterality of primary hyperaldosteronism. AVS remains a technically challenging procedure with high variability in techniques and success rates. The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether fluoroscopy times and intravenous (IV) contrast usage were increased when using our thorough adrenal vein sampling technique (TAVST) compared to all other AVS techniques.

Stable narrowband red emission in fluortellurate KTeF5:Mn4+ via Mn4+ noncentral-site occupation
Unlike conventionally central-site doping, here, an abnormally equivalent Mn4+ accommodation on penta-coordinate distorted octahedron with vertical occupation site is reported in fluortellurate KTeF5:Mn4+. The extremely unique substitution results in a thermally stable (remaining emission of 86.7% at 423 K) and highly purified red emission in KTeF5:Mn4+.
Design and preparation of thermally stable Mn4+ activated narrowband red emitting fluoride Na3GaF6:Mn4+ for warm WLED application
A novel red phosphor Na3GaF6:Mn4+ has been designed and synthesized via a facile two-step co-precipitation method at room temperature. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that fluoride Na3GaF6 crystallizes in P2(1)/n space group with a = 5.4760 Å, b = 5.6862 Å, c = 7.9009 Å, ? = 90.309 ?, and z = 2. The density functional theory (DFT) calculation shows the band gap of Na3GaF6 is about 5.75 eV.
Determining Effects of Superfine Sheep wool in INfantile Eczema (DESSINE): a randomized paediatric cross over study
Despite limited evidence, woollen clothing has traditionally been considered to be an irritant that should be avoided by individuals with atopic dermatitis (AD). Wool fibres come in a range of diameters, and have beneficial thermodynamic and moisture transport properties. This study examines the effects of superfine merino wool on symptoms in participants with mild-moderate AD.
Tailoring upconversion of ABF3:Yb3+/Er3+ through Mn2+ doping
Successful upconversion (UC) tuning from multi-bands to one single red band from Er3+ ions was realized in cubic perovskite ABF3:Yb3+/Er3+ (A= K, Cs; B= Zn, Cd) through Mn2+ doping. Based on UC emission spectra and decay kinetics of KZnF3:Yb3+/Er3+ with different Mn2+ contents, a bidirectional energy transfer process between Mn2+ and Er3+ ions was confirmed to explain the UC tuning mechanism.
