Prediction of raw meat texture and myopathic severity of broiler breast meat with the wooden breast condition by hyperspectral imaging
ABSTRACT 1. This research explored the potential of hyperspectral imaging (HSI) to predict meat texture and the wooden breast (WB) condition in raw chicken breast fillets, categorised as normal, moderate WB and severe WB. The Meullenet-Owens Razor Shear (MORS) measurement was employed to characterise raw meat texture traits, including force, energy and peak count. 2. Significant differences in MORS force, energy and peak count were observed between normal and severe WB fillets.

MicroRNA 29 modulates β‐cell mitochondrial metabolism and insulin secretion via underlying miR‐29‐OXPHOS complex pathways
1 INTRODUCTION Sufficient insulin release from pancreatic β-cells requires robust stimulus-secretion coupling. This is crucial for maintaining glucose homeostasis and preventing diabetes. Initially in this process, the glucose transporter GLUT2 on the β-cell membrane mediates uptake of circulating glucose into the cell. Glucose is then phosphorylated by the enzyme glucokinase (GCK) and further metabolized through glycolysis and the tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA cycle).

Quantum synchronization and quantum $\ensuremath{\varphi}$ synchronization in a coupled optomechanical system with Kerr nonlinearity
In this work, we study the quantum synchronization and quantum ϕ synchronization of two mechanical oscillators in a coupled optomechanical system. The oscillators are coupled to an optical cavity filled with a Kerr nonlinear medium and subjected to periodic modulation of the cavity detunings and driving amplitudes by a common driving field. Our results show that the quantum synchronization and quantum ϕ synchronization in nonlinear systems exhibit more favorable behaviors than in linear systems.

Catalytic reactivity of Pt sites for non-oxidative coupling of methane (NOCM)
Development of shale gas and tight oil reserves could lead to a projected increase in the natural gas production of 100 % by the year 2050 [1]. Methane accounts for 70–90 mol.% of the shale gas feed composition depending on the location of the shale gas source [2]. Despite the large availability of this carbon resource, current methane conversion methodologies are limited.

Discovery of conjoined charge density waves in the kagome superconductor CsV3Sb5 - Nature Communications
Abstract The electronic instabilities in CsV3Sb5 are believed to originate from the V 3d-electrons on the kagome plane, however the role of Sb 5p-electrons for 3-dimensional orders is largely unexplored. Here, using resonant tender X-ray scattering and high-pressure X-ray scattering, we report a rare realization of conjoined charge density waves (CDWs) in CsV3Sb5, where a 2 × 2 × 1 CDW in the kagome sublattice and a Sb 5p-electron assisted 2 × 2 × 2 CDW coexist.
A fast radio burst source at a complex magnetized site in a barred galaxy - Nature
Abstract Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are highly dispersed, millisecond-duration radio bursts1,2,3. Recent observations of a Galactic FRB4,5,6,7,8 suggest that at least some FRBs originate from magnetars, but the origin of cosmological FRBs is still not settled. Here we report the detection of 1,863 bursts in 82 h over 54 days from the repeating source FRB 20201124A (ref. 9).

Single-Laser-Pulse-Driven Thermal Limit of the Quasi-Two-Dimensional Magnetic Ordering in ${\mathrm{Sr}}_{2}{\mathrm{IrO}}_{4}$
Abstract Upon femtosecond-laser stimulation, generally materials are expected to recover back to their thermal-equilibrium conditions, with only a few exceptions reported. Here, we demonstrate that deviation from the thermal-equilibrium pathway can be induced in canonical 3D antiferromagnetically (AFM) ordered Sr2IrO4 by a single 100-fs-laser pulse, appearing as losing long-range magnetic correlation along one direction into a glassy condition.

Diverse polarization angle swings from a repeating fast radio burst source
Abstract Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are millisecond-duration radio transients1,2 of unknown origin. Two possible mechanisms that could generate extremely coherent emission from FRBs invoke neutron star magnetospheres3,4,5 or relativistic shocks far from the central energy source6,7,8. Detailed polarization observations may help us to understand the emission mechanism.
MACHINE LEARNING FOR LEFT VENTRICULAR SEGMENTATION AND SCAR QUANTIFICATION IN HYPERTROPHIC CARDIOMYOPATHY PATIENTS
Accurate and reproducible quantification of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) scar volume is essential in managing patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) due to the importance of scar burden in predicting clinical outcomes. In current practice, LGE quantification is subjective, time-consuming, and requires extensive training to delineate both the myocardial borders and the hyper-enhanced regions on the LGE images.

Extreme ultraviolet imaging of three-dimensional magnetic reconnection in a solar eruption
Abstract Magnetic reconnection, a change of magnetic field connectivity, is a fundamental physical process in which magnetic energy is released explosively, and it is responsible for various eruptive phenomena in the universe. However, this process is difficult to observe directly. Here, the magnetic topology associated with a solar reconnection event is studied in three dimensions using the combined perspectives of two spacecraft.
