Allendale, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University baseball knew they were playing Grand Valley State University in the first game of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) tournament, but they did not know who was going to be the home team. SVSU (27-22, 17-13) claimed the third seed in the standings giving them the home team in with an 8-5 win over GVSU (28-19, 15-15) Sunday afternoon to end the regular season.

Allendale, Mich. – The final weekend of the regular season started with a bang for Saginaw Valley State University baseball as they took game one of four against Grand Valley State University 8-3. The win leapfrogged Saginaw Valley (25-21, 15-12) over Grand Valley (27-17, 14-13) into third place in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) standings and the Cardinals improve to 12-1 on Fridays in the 2023 campaign.

Kenosha, Wis. – Saginaw Valley State University baseball wrapped up their season series against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Saturday afternoon with a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) doubleheader. SVSU (18-16, 10-7) won 22-7 in seven innings and 10-5 in nine innings to take all six games against Parkside (9-24, 3-15) this season. You could say the offense had a weekend to remember. The Cardinals scored 77 runs this weekend in four games.
