One of the greatest Supercars drivers of all time, Jamie Whincup, will step back from his co-driving duties at Triple Eight from next year, making way for Nick Percat to join the team as Broc Feeney's co-driver. Whincup has driven for Triple Eight since the 2006 season and went on to win seven championships with the team. His managing director role, however, meant he had committed to remaining in the driving seat only until a more suitable option presented itself.

Dick Johnson Racing CEO David Noble will step down from his role at season's end, in a major leadership change at the Stapylton-based squad. The former North Melbourne coach has spent three years at DJR, navigating one of the team's most challenging periods. His tenure saw the team take three wins, transition to the Gen3 Supercars regulations and lose the Ford Homologation team role to Triple Eight.

Broc Feeney says he is full of confidence ahead of the Sandown 500 semi final, despite finishing second to Chaz Mostert in both races at the Gold Coast 500. The Triple Eight star heads into the penultimate round of the finals series leading the championship points standings. Feeney qualified second for Saturday's 85-lap race and secured his 15th pole position of the year ahead of Sunday's race.
